This thesis examines the experiences of child forced labor (CFL) in manual work during the Khmer Rouge Regime. Beyond being forced to perform manual work, children labored under harsh working conditions, in fear of punishment, were separated from family, and faced starvation. The analysis will be supported by the empirical findings from original interviews with several respondents and from a review of the existing literature. It fills a gap in our understanding of the experiences of children and forced labor under the Khmer Rouge regime.
